13 song CD Produced and Engineered by Joel Cage and Jay Williston Recorded at Big Sixteen Music, 144 Washington Street, Suite 2, Brighton, MA 02135 Mastered at MWorks by Jonathan Wyner Joel Cage's dynamic, risky songwriting shines on his second LP, Nobody. Cage is a triple threat - singing, guitar-playing and songwriting are crafts he has mastered, and his songs showcase these different skills. He switches gears at unexpected moments, capturing different moods and textures within single songs. The tasty acoustic blues of "Lover", the romantic sensitivity of the title track, and the moody rock of "Baggage" keep the listener tuned in to see what happens next. decorate the vocal and guitar melodies nicely. One true gem is his cover of U2's "Where The Streets Have No Name", in which he displays his raw guitar and vocal power. Joel Cage reforms traditional acoustic folk and blues in his own mold, and the result is quite effective.
